My Weekend Thoughts

1. Monday's Market
How would monday's market going to be like? I will be expecting a massive sell down in the morning. During the sell down, retailers will be busy selling and trying to stay at the sidelines. Let's see if the hedge funds might be secretly accumulating the shares from retailers who sells off. After that, we will be able to estimate the average price that the hedge funds have bought. If the prices drop to August prices, it can be considered super cheap.

2. Uni-Asia
Everyone now knows that Uni-Asia is under investigation. It may face the danger of being suspended and delisted. Monday's market opening might see a drop in price as shareholders might be desperate to sell off their holdings. When Uni-Asia was riding up fast from $0.60 to $2.50, everyone happy, nobody queried. Once it dive south to $1.80, everyone complained?

3. Baby Clownfishes
Today marks the day that both of my baby common clownfishes died. I have caught the culprit which is my adult size brittle starfish. I have decided to dispose it out of my main marine tank by tomorrow noon. I will be rescaping my aquarium too. May the clownfishes rest in peace.

Self - Reflection

Good Evening Investors,

After thinking through the processes that I have implemented on my technical trades, these are the tabulated results:

Total sold trades: 26
Losing Trades (Sold < 0.01%): 10
Winning Trades (Sold > 0.02%): 16

My current chances of profiting from the market is about 61.5%.

There is still alot of room for improvement ah marcus... Hopefully within 5 years from now, I would achieve the target of 75%.

Case Study: Uni-Asia

Investors to note:

Today's black candlestick shows a classical bearish engulfment. It totally covered the 3 previous white candles which was also supported by the enormous amount of volume. RSI is in the overbought region.

Coincidentally, the black candle drops to $1.80, which is also the gap up on the 8th October! Does that caught your attention? That price should be the support level.

Therefore, we should see a temporary downtrend this week. Short term investors who missed the previous bull run from this counter might want to get ready your bullets and reload in the next uptrend opportunity in time to come.

15th October Quick Updates

1. Pine Agritech Limited buy at $0.44 , sold at $0.625, +42.04%
(Meet target price. Better to lock in profits. Good luck to those who are still invested.)

2. Lorenzo buy at $0.40 , sold at $0.415, +3.75%
(Not comfortable holding, sold at open price.)

3. HLG buy at $0.39, sold at $0.375, -3.84%
Expecting to rebound upwards at $0.355 if there is a continous uptrend. Consider to cut loss at $0.315. Today's low hit $0.36. Warning.

4. Jasper buy at $0.025, high at $0.025, +/-0.00%
20d and 50d MA going to kiss each other. Flag pattern is considered here. Break out will be $0.35. Stochastic at 17.7% low.

5. SMB United buy at $0.40, sold at $0.39, -2.5%

6. Armstrong buy at $0.455, high at $0.44, -3.29%
Support line at $0.415. Resistance at $0.46. Bollinger band squeeze. Consider stagger cut loss at $0.41 and $0.39. $0.34 support line. Looks like a symmetrical triangle in an uptrend. I also think that it has a cup with handle pattern.

7. Ellipsiz buy at $0.55, sold at $0.52, -5.45%
(Descending triangle in a downtrend.)

8. Informatics buy at $0.09, sold at $0.09, +/-0.00%

12th October Quick Updates

1. Pine Agritech Limited buy at $0.44 , high at $0.61, +38.63% !!
Falling Wedge in an uptrend. Could be a symmetrical triangle pattern too. If upper symmetrical line broken ($0.555), it is a very bullish signal. Fibonacci Retracement set 0% at $0.32, 50% at $0.47 (gap up), 100% will be at $0.62. If $0.62 broken, $0.665 is the next target price. Today's performance is incredible for this counter.

2. Lorenzo buy at $0.40 , high at $0.435, +8.75%
Pull-back expected to be $0.41 (support line), followed by another rally. Possible rounded-bottom bull? Cup and handle pattern formation completed. Overall uptrend still intact.

3. HLG buy at $0.39, high at $0.375, -3.84%
Expecting to rebound upwards at $0.355 if there is a continous uptrend. Consider to cut loss at $0.315.

4. Jasper buy at $0.025, high at $0.025, +/-0.00%
20d and 50d MA going to kiss each other. Flag pattern is considered here. Break out will be $0.35.

5. SMB United buy at $0.40, high at $0.395, -1.25%
20d and 50d kissed each other today. Could be flag or a rising wedge in the beginning of a downtrend? Consider staggered cut loss at $0.365 and $0.335. $0.375 seems like a good support line.

6. Armstrong buy at $0.455, high at $0.445, -2.19%
Support line at $0.415. Resistance at $0.46. Bollinger band squeeze. Consider stagger cut loss at $0.41 and $0.39. $0.34 support line.

7. Ellipsiz buy at $0.55, high at $0.525, -4.54% (Prepare to sell!)
Support line at $0.505. Resistance at $0.575. Consider staggered cut loss at $0.495 and $0.425.

8. Informatics buy at $0.09, high at $0.085, -5.55%
Could be a flag pattern? Consider cut loss at $0.65 as $0.7 is support line.

9. BBR buy at $0.115, high at $0.12, +4.34%
Ascending triangle pattern. To break $0.125 resistance line. Also to consider cut loss at $0.10.

Temporary correction due to volume decline as price fall. Strong support line at $0.34.

11. MDR buy at $0.075, high at $0.075, +/-0.00%

I sold part of my counters today to be on the safe side. Until the bad signals are gone, then I will consider jumping back to the counters.

Today's Overview

I will expecting a flat week till this coming friday. There was a sudden surge in buy-ups and what I am waiting for is a royal flush to flush out the contra players and weak holders. Some of them might still be holding tightly to their counters until the last due date before force sell begins. Chain reaction will follow up as investors will be overcome by fear.

A word of caution though:
We had the GREAT Oct 19 1987 CRASH !

Might be an inauspicious day.

Safety Margin List

What is a safety margin and how much is considered safe? Each and everyone of us have different views.

I have came up with a simple list of safety margins for those who are interested. What it means is for the amount of $xxxx invested in a particular counter, the minimum amount of percentage increment you should see as a safe exit to sell your counter without any loss, inclusive of commission fees!

Amount of $ invested , Amount of % increase(Include fees)
$1000 , 5.6 %
$1500 , 3.74 %
$2000 , 2.8 %
$2500 , 2.24 %
$3000 , 1.87 %
$3500 , 1.6 %
$4000 , 1.4 %
$4500 , 1.25 %
$5000 , 1.12 %
$5500 , 1.03 %
$6000 , 0.94 %
$6500 , 0.87 %
$7000 , 0.8 %
$7500 , 0.75 %
$8000 , 0.7 %

*These includes after deducting of commission fees ($25) and miscelleanous fees. Assuming each trade fee is $28, thus, a total fees of $56 max will be a rough gauge.

Market Overview

Today's performance proves that on my post on Thursday, September 20, 2007 was correct and I am on the right path, the bull run is still intact. But the question is, how long will this bull run lasts? When will we see the bear? No one knows for sure.
Patience only rewards the undervalued-seeking investors.

I can see that my personal profile has recovered 12% from yesterday's trade, and another 10% from today due to the buying confident sentiments returning back after the August killing.

I hope that none of you readers exit too quickly yesterday as there is still room for uptrend.

Cheers.

Stocks Note

Pointing out potential stocks,

1. Armstrong Industrial Corp Ltd
- Inverted Head & shoulder pattern formation. Possible bullish breakout at $0.455. Could be a trap too. Trade with caution.

2. Asian Micro Holdings
- Testing strength at $0.11 barrier. Once barrier broken will continue uptrend.

3. Aztech Systems
- Still on the downtrend. Do not try bottom fishing yet as chart still did not show full signal. To monitor few more days for MACD cross over although RSI shows oversold.

4. Inter-Roller Engineering
- Uptrend intact and confirmed. MACD crossing positive zone. Long-term target price $1.30.
Short-term target price $0.95.

5. Showy International
- Potential reversal to uptrend. To monitor a few days for Parabolic Sar turns green. To break $0.815 barrier to confirm uptrend.

6. Transmarco
- $0.81 good entry point to confirm uptrend. MACD crossing positive.

These are just plain guides. But extra precaution should be taken into consideration. I would suggest investors to stay at the sidelines first, until the signs are clear, consider jumping back later.

Cheers and good luck!

Today's Overview

Islandwide profit-taking and everyone panic, instilling fear.

Straits Times Index dropped 39.21 points to 3754.62, after hitting an intraday record high of 3851.88, while Hang Seng Index was shot down at 719.81 points to 27,479.94.

Chances are that hedge funds are at work, taking profits on the recent big gains on China stocks. China stocks were the big losers, as they succumbed to a second day of profit-taking, after racking up spectacular gains 3 days ago. I did a simple check on most China stocks and realised that the selldown began as early as 3.30pm. Retail investors who contra definitely included. For those who short-sell or naked short today, I will be expecting buy-ups next week.

Now is the golden opportunity for those investors who missed out in the earlier bull run to enter the market following such dips. For those who have financial difficulties to join the healthy correction, I would suggest to start investing little by little. Even if profits of a few dollars in each trade is still considered as profits!

And of course, those who join in the bull run will be rewarded eventually. On hindsight, please be extra careful of the volatile market, place your stop-loss orders, exit points and must always be prepared to cut loss (Success to investing), and exercise your own responsibilities for your trades as it is your own decision and money.

Hope that helps!

Recap

Portfolio Updates

Hi readers, just a quick recap on what were the items I had published before and pending my decisions ;

1. Pine Agritech Limited
14th September 2007
Good to buy at $0.44. Target price to sell at $0.59. Cut loss at $0.38.

Remarks: Currently trading highest @ $0.565. MACD crossing positive territory, SMA curving up, run away gap-up spotted, form new peak with exceptionally high volume! Fibonacci Retracement placed 50% at $0.47, 100% at $0.585. It will test it's strength at $0.585 barrier. If it breaks through, will expect a pullback to $0.585. If it never cross $0.59, then to sell at $0.585. Honestly, although it feels good to sell and take profit now, try to control the fear and overcome the greed !

My Call: Hold

2. Lorenzo
12th September 2007
@ $0.40 (Target price $0.56. To cut loss at $0.34 as $0.345 is the support line. Next immediate support is $0.29)

Remarks: Currently trading highest @ $0.40. MACD positive, RSI not overbought yet. Bollinger squeeze sighted. Closing price chart shows it touching the SMA, expecting a rebound soon. Short-term target price @ $0.425.

My Call: Hold

3. Metal Comp
12th September 2007
@ $0.125 (Target price $0.20. To cut loss at $0.105 as $0.11 is the support line. Next immediate support is $0.09)

Remarks: Currently trading highest @ $0.135. MACD positive, RSI slightly overbought. Bollinger squeeze also seen here. Parabolic SAR still in green zone. Closing price chart shows a rebound after touching SMA at $0.125. Short-term target price @ $0.15. If barrier broken, then Mid-Long term target price revised to $0.19.

My Call: Hold

4. Progen Holdings
12th September 2007
@ $0.105 (Target price is $0.19. To cut loss at $0.075 as $0.08 is the support line. Next immediate support is $0.065)

Remarks: Currently trading highest @ $0.10. MACD showing slow yet steady crossing over to positive territory with a healthy RSI. Second round of Bollinger band squeeze sighted. Parabolic SAR in green zone. Closing price chart displaying a near-touch of the moving average. Short-term price @ $0.13. If resistant line of $0.13 broken, we shall see it touching $0.19 without any hassles.
